Click the plus sign next to the Application Development Features
selection, the options available for this selection appear. Mark the
check box next to the following options to turn on these features: .NET
Extensibility, ASP.NET, ISAPI Extensions, and ISAPI Filters.

Click the plus sign next to the Common Http Features selection, the
available options appear: mark the check box next to the following fea-
tures to turn them on: Default Document, Directory Browsing,
HTTP Errors, HTTP Redirection, and Static Content.
5.
Click the plus sign next to the Health and Diagnostics selection, the
options available for this selection appear; mark the check box next to
the following features to turn them on: HTTP Logging, Request Mon-
itor.
6.
Click the plus sign next to the Performances Features selection, the
options available for this selection appear; mark the check box next to
the following feature to turn it on: Status Content Compression.
7.
Click the plus sign next to the Security selection, the options available
for this selection appear, mark the check box next to the following fea-
tures to turn them on: Request Filtering and Windows Authentica-
tion.
Applying the IIS Settings
After you have enabled the required settings for IIS v7, click OK to apply
them to your system. After the settings are applied, the Windows Features
windows closes and you are returned to the Control Panel.

Prerequisites
for Windows
Server 2008
If you are using Windows Server 2008, follow these basic steps for batch
installation preparation.
1.
Familiarize yourself with the RDA components. Please refer to
“Remote Data Access (RDA) Components” on page 18
for more infor-
mation.
2.
Determine your RDA configuration. Please refer to
for more information.
3.
Make sure that IIS is installed and operational. In Windows Server
2008, Web Server (IIS) is installed from the Server Manager. To install
Web Services (IIS) from the Server Manager, open the Server Manager
and select the Features node. Select Add Features to reach the Add
Features wizard. From the wizard, select the Remote Server Adminis-
tration Tools > Web Server (IIS) Tools to install IIS. Please refer to
your Windows documentation for more information on installing IIS.
