SERIAL LINE COMMUNICATION WITH
PTB330 BAROMETER
This chapter contains instructions for serial line use of the PTB330
barometer.
Connecting to the Serial Line
The PTB330 barometer has two connections to the serial interface: the
service port and the user port.

The service port is located on the motherboard of the barometer.
It is always available with fixed serial settings, and starts in the
STOP mode after a power-up. The barometer cover must be
opened to access the service port.
NOTE
This chapter provides the necessary instructions for connecting to the
serial line of the PTB330 barometer, and using the most important
serial line commands. For a full description of the commands and
connection options for the PTB330, refer to the PTB330 User’s Guide.
Serial line operation of the HMP155 is not described in this User’s
Guide. If you need to access the serial line of the HMP155, refer to the
HMP155 User’s Guide. An USB cable for connecting the HMP155 to
a PC is available (Vaisala order code 221040).
