6. Key Switch Location and Installation
a. The key switch must be installed flush with the wall surface in a 2x4 electrical wall box.
b. Locate key switch in an area with full visibility of the mat hoist system.
c. Mount key switch placard as close as possible to key switch. Placard comes with an adhesive
backing and should read as follows:

d. Wire key switch according to accompanying wiring diagram.
e. Replacement or additional keys can be obtained directly from Jaypro. Make sure you have your
key number handy when calling.
7. Wiring the Controller and Winches
a. Electrician to supply 208/230/460v 3-ph power to controller. Make sure power provided is as
specified in the original order. The controller can handle any of the three voltage levels listed
above with the proper transformer setting, but 460v winches are a special order.
b. See Jaypro Wiring Instructions document JSL-Inst002 for complete electrical wiring
instructions. The electrical instructions and wiring diagram packet (JSL-W) should have been
supplied as an attachment to this instruction booklet and/or inside the control panel. If wiring
diagram is missing a replacement can be obtained by contacting Jaypro directly or on the web
at www.jaypro.com.
