GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Model 208B MM (Miter Mandrel) is an accessory option that is used to expand
the versatility of the Model 208B BEVELMASTER
TM
by allowing in-situ setup on
irregular pipe, fittings, and valves.
The Miter Mandrel is secured to the ID of the workpiece by way of four (4) individu-
ally adjusted Jackscrews.
Once secured, two (2) distinct types of adjustments are easily performed: Angular
offset and parallel offset.
The angular offset adjustment allows the Mandrel Shaft to be precisely aligned with
the workpiece (even though the ID of the workpiece might be irregular) or it may be
adjusted up to 5° from the centerline in any direction desired to give a mitered prep.
The parallel offset adjustment is done by adjusting the Jackscrews to recenter the
Mandrel Shaft after the angular offset adjustment has been made.
Both adjustments are accomplished with the aid of a Dial Indicator Kit.
