The Configure Alerts window appears, as shown in the following figure. The window
contains three tabs: Alert Settings, Mail Server, and Email.

You can select the Alert Settings tab to perform the following actions:
 Edit the alert delivery method for different severity levels.
 Change the method of delivery for each individual event.
 Change the severity level of each individual event.
 Save an .xml backup file of the entire alert configuration.
 Load all the values from a previously saved backup into the dialog to edit or save
these values as the current alert notification configuration.
NOTE: When you load a saved backup file, all unsaved changes made in the current
session will be lost.
You can select the Mail Server tab to perform the following actions:
 Enter or edit the sender email address.
 Enter the SMTP server name or the IP address.
 Enter the SMTP server authentication related information (user name and
password).
NOTE: These fields are optional and are filled only when the SMTP server requires
authentication.
