Physical Environment

This section provides information about the physical, electrical, thermal,
and safety characteristics of the LSI Logic 4 Gbit/s family of
Fibre Channel host adapters. Additionally, these boards are compliant
with FCC electromagnetic standards.

2.5.1

Electrical Characteristics

Table 2.5

lists the maximum power requirements, and includes all of the

LSI Logic 4 Gbit/s FC host adapter boards under normal operation.

2.5.2

Thermal, Atmospheric Characteristics

The thermal, atmospheric characteristics of the LSI Logic 4 Gbit/s family
of FC host adapters are:

Temperature range: 0 °C to 55 °C (dry bulb), 100 linear feet per
minute (LFPM) airflow minimum

Relative humidity range: 5% to 90% noncondensing

Maximum dew point temperature: 32 °C

The following parameters define the storage and transit environment for
the LSI Logic 4 Gbit/s family of FC host adapters:

Storage Temperature:

−45 °C to +85 °C (dry bulb)

Relative Humidity Range: 0% to 95%, noncondensing
