Do not make any modifications to the system or to the accessories. Any

unauthorised modifications may put you in danger, be illegal or reduce the

performance of the device.

This device contains the products listed in the ROHS table, and may pose

a risk of:

• suffocation (do not give the device to children less than 3 years of age);

• fire or electrocution (do not expose the device to rain or moisture, or

any other liquid).

This product contains magnetic components and generates a magnetic

field which may cause interference with pacemakers or implantable

cardioverter-defibrillators. Consult your doctor if you have any questions

about the effect these components may have on an implanted medical

device.

This product conforms with all applicable European regulations

and directives.

This symbol means that the product (including the battery if

applicable) must never be

disposed of with household waste. It must be disposed of at

an appropriate recycling container centre. Correct disposal or recycling

of products helps to protect natural resources, human health and the

envrionment. For more information on how to dispose of or recycle this

product, contact your local council, waste collection service or the point of

sale where it was purchased.

WARNING

This product contains a lithium-ion battery which must be

handled with care. Lithium batteries can be dangerous if they are not used

and handled correctly. In extreme cases, incorrect use of lithium batteries

may cause:

• an explosion

• a fire

• excessive heat

• a release of smoke or gas

Always respect the safety precautions.

Caution, risk of electric shock. Do not open. It is forbidden to dismantle,

open, pierce or carry out any other manipulation on the battery alone.

Caution: any incorrect replacement of the battery may cause an explosion.

The replacement or removal of the battery from your Focal product

must be carried out by a qualified professional. The battery must only be

replaced with an identical battery which can be obtained from your Focal

retailer.

Focal can neither guarantee the safety or compatibility of batteries made

by other manufacturers, or that they will work correctly with the device.

Do not connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery

to each other with any conductive material (particularly metal objects).

Do not reverse the polarities.

Do not bring the headphone battery into contact with or near a naked

flame. Generally speaking, the battery must not be exposed to excessive

heat, such as direct sunlight, a flame or other heat sources (over 70°C), or

to high levels of humidity.

Do not expose the battery and charger to water (do not submerge, do not

pour liquid over them, do not expose to condensation and do not wet).

Do not expose to rain.

Never use a damaged battery.

Do not expose to physical shocks or vibrations. In case of a significant

shock, do not use the battery.

Do not destroy and do not incinerate.

Any exposure to the battery’s internal components or to elements resulting

from its combustion may be dangerous. If this occurs, consult your doctor.

If during use, the battery gives off an unusual smell, gives off excessive

heat or becomes deformed, turn the device off immediately. If any of these

situations occur, contact your Focal retailer.

Only use the battery charger supplied with the device.

Only charge the batteries at an ambient temperature of between 10°C and

40°C.

Never charge a battery which is swollen, leaking or damaged.

Never use a modified or damaged charger. Only charge the battery on

non-flammable surfaces (do not charge the battery on flammable surfaces

such as carpet or wooden floors) and do not charge near flammable

materials. Charge the battery on a non-conductive surface in order to

prevent any damage, in particular relating to a short-circuit.

Keep the battery and charger out of reach of children.

OPTIMAL CONDITIONS FOR USING THE BATTERY

Before using a Focal device with a built-in lithium-ion battery for the first

time, it is advised to charge the battery completely in order to maximise

its autonomy and service life (wait approximately three hours for the

battery to fully charge). Do not over-charge the battery or let it discharge

excessively.

In order to preserve the integrity of your headphone battery, and when left

unused for extended periods, recharge the battery regularly, at least once

about every three months.

Turn off battery-powered devices when no longer in use.

For optimal use, do not use the headphones with a built-in battery in

places with very high or very low temperatures (below -5°C and above

40°C).
