Taking Pictures Using the LCD monitor

Using the LCD monitor allows you to verify the whole
image of after shooting, confirm the image right after
shooting. When taking pictures using the panorama
or digital zoom features, or when taking close-ups, use
the LCD monitor.

1.

Turn the camera’s dial switch to View. You will
see a live preview on the LCD monitor. Center
your subject on the screen.

Note:

Icons indicating the image quality setting

, and

the number of photos you can take appear at the
bottom of the LCD monitor.

If you do not press any buttons on the camera for
30 seconds, the camera turns itself off
automatically to save battery power. To turn the
camera back on, press the shutter button, or turn
Off

the camera's dial switch and back to View.

If you are using the camera in bright sunlight, you
can improve the clarity of your LCD monitor and
save battery power by using your camera’s
skylight. Slide the backlight switch to the

position. The backlight of the LCD monitor turns
off and the skylight cover opens to let sunlight
into the camera.
