Battery charge
The battery icon indicates the amount of charge remaining in the Battery Pack. There
are three levels and when only one level remains, the Battery Pack needs to be
charged. It is always present on the display in the upper right corner.

Alphanumeric text
The NetLink e340/i640 Wireless Telephone supports a two to four line display of up
to 19 alphanumeric characters. Display information provided by the Cisco
CallManager when the handset is off-hook will be passed directly to the handset
display. The handset will display only the first 16 characters of each line. Certain
characters may be used by the Cisco CallManager that are not implemented in the
handset such as definable and special characters. See the Feature Programming section
for an explanation of displayed features.
Press the

FCN

key while off hook to scroll through features and emulated keys. Press

the

LINE

key while off hook to scroll through the line/memory keys.

Softkey display area
When the handset is active, the bottom row displays up to four softkey feature

abbreviations. The full text may be viewed by pressing the

MENU

key. Press the

corresponding softkey to activate the feature.

Ringing and tones
The ringing types are programmed by the handset user into the handset and are not

accessible or changeable by the CallManager. When

Ring Cadence

is set to PBX and

whenever possible, the audible and vibrating ringer on the handset will follow the
SCCP protocol cadence commands provided by the Cisco CallManager. See the User
Preferences
section.

Audio features
The Cisco IP Phone 7960 speakerphone features are not available on the handset.
