Logical paths

Maximum of eight from primary system to secondary system.

Logical paths are established for primary and secondary systems CUs separately.

Maximum number of logical paths allowed for a primary system is 32 (8 paths per
secondary system x 4 secondary systems per primary system).

Maximum number of
secondary systems

Maximum of four secondary system per primary system.

Each secondary system CU must be added separately to a primary system.

Pair volumes

P-VOL and S-VOL must be equal in size.

The maximum size of P-VOL and S-VOL is 4,194,304.000MB(8,589,934,592 blocks).
However, when primary system or secondary system is XP12000 Disk Array/XP10000
Disk Array, it is 2,949,120.00MB(6,039,797,760 blocks).

The minimum size of P-VOL and S-VOL is 48.000MB(96,000 blocks) for OPEN-V. It
is 36.000MB(72,000 blocks), except for OPEN-V.

One P-VOL may only be copied to one S-VOL.

P-VOL and S-VOL can be shared with other program product volumes. See
