Examples of supported EQWSI queries:

size > tiny

dtime <= 2013-12-24

rstate = 4

mode = aLL

Additional requirements for EQWSI queries

Keep in mind the following additional requirements for EQWSI queries:

HTTP share settings. If any of the HTTP share settings are changed, such as the URL path, the
OSDX file must be re-created from the StoreAll Management Console or CLI; otherwise, the
EQWSI queries will fail.

Cluster settings. The metadata service must be running in the cluster for EQWSI queries to be
functional.

Usage of multiple keywords in a query

EQWSI supports the usage of multiple keyword-value pairs in the same query so that you can
search for files and directories based on multiple metadata conditions.

The multiple keyword-value pair must be separated by a space. This is equivalent to an AND
operation.

All rules applicable to single keyword-value pair queries are also applicable to each keyword-value
pair in these queries.

Keep in mind the following when framing a query with multiple keywords:

EQWSI does not support the usage of the same keyword multiple times in the same query.
As a result, the user will be unable to search for files with metadata values in a particular
range. For example, the query “crtime > 2012-01-01 crtime < 2013-01-01” is not supported.

The “dtime” keyword is not supported in a multiple keyword EQWSI query. The “dtime”
keyword is supported with only single keyword EQWSI queries.

If mtime, atime and ctime are part of an EQWSI query, then mtime takes precedence over
atime or ctime keywords. That is, atime and ctime are ignored in the search criteria.

If atime and ctime are part of an EQWSI query, then ctime takes precedence over atime. That
is, atime is ignored in the search criteria.

No results are returned by an EQWSI search if rstate and mode=dir are included in a single
EQWSI query, as designed.

No results are returned by an EQWSI search if rxtime and mode=dir are included in a single
EQWSI query, as designed.

Examples of supported EQWSI queries involving multiple keywords:

size > HUGE crtime >= 2012-12-24 mode=File

mkey = Engineering mval=Genetics mode=ALL

rxtime >= 2013-01-01 mkey=”StoreAll” mtime = 2013-02-02 rstate=2

mode = dir dtime <= 2012-12-31 rstate=0 mval=”NAS” ctime > 2012-04-21
