Verify that NIS has been configured by running to the following command to list the users
from the NIS passwd map:

Adding NIS removes LSASS from the nsswitch.conf file, which will disable all authentication
from HP-SMB. Therefore, you must edit the /etc/nsswitch.conf file and add "lsass"
to the passwd and group fields, as shown in the following example:

Configuring authentication from the StoreAll Management Console

Use the Authentication Wizard in the StoreAll Management Console to perform the initial
configuration or to modify it at a later time. Select Cluster Configuration

→File Sharing Authentication

from the Navigator to open the File Sharing Authentication Settings panel. This panel shows the
current authentication configuration on each server.

Configure Options

Click Authentication Wizard to start the wizard. The Configure Options window appears. Select
the authentication service you want to use on the servers in the cluster. If you select Active Directory,
you can also select LDAP ID mapping as a secondary lookup source.
