System fan error LEDs
The system fan error LEDs help you to determine if there are any system fan errors.
Status
Description
Action
Solid off
The system fans are operating correctly.
Solid on (amber)
One or more system fans are running at low
speed or have been removed.
Check the BMC for errors and run the
diagnostic programs. See “Using a
diagnostic program” on page 204.
Note: To identify the failing system fans,
check the status LEDs on the system board.
See “System board LEDs” on page 59.
The following illustration shows the system fans and their numbers.
Notes:
• Depending on the model, your server might look slightly different from the illustration.
• Your server has five system fans. The callout

indicates a dummy system fan.
