When the LSM ID of the hi-res clip is changed, the virtual LSM ID is changed as
well.
When the LSM ID of the hi-res clip is deleted, the virtual LSM ID is removed and
the LSM ID field is set to blank.
When the LSM ID of the hi-res clip appears in a clip, the virtual LSM ID is updated
to match.
In the list displayed from the clip element node, the real LSM ID is always
mentioned.
So, if a XT lo-res clip is present in the clip, the only way its real LSM ID can be
retrieved is from the clip element branch of the tree. This view and function should
only be used by system administrators and media managers.
4.4 CLIP TREE STRUCTURE
Within the Clips tree structure of IPDirector, the following sub-branches are
available:
•
XNet, i.e. physical hardware present on the XNet, such as:
o
hi-res XT[2] machines: displays clips containing a hi-res-clip saved on the hi-
res XT[2] machines
o
lo-res XT[2] machines: can only be viewed by administrators / media
managers, or users with appropriate rights
o
XF[2] or XStore hosting XFile software: displays clips which have been
backed up to XFile and then published from XFile to the XNet.
