Network Management Features

Supported network management applications

An APC Network Management Card (AP9517SQD) is built into the master
controller (AP9921X) that provides the network connection. It is the first
battery management unit in a group of one master unit and up to 5
expansion units (AP9921XS).

The Battery Management System supports the following access methods:

you can configure network, system, and
battery management parameters, and
display and monitor battery management

HTTP & SSL

Web browser

A graphical user interface to the Battery
Management System through a standard
Web browser. With this Web interface, you
can configure network, system, and battery
management parameters, and display and
monitor battery management data.

SNMP

MIB browser

Uses MIB II OIDs to configure the built-in
management card, and use SNMP traps to
report Battery Management System events.

FTP

Device IP
Configuration
Wizard

Consecutively discovers each unconfigured
controller on the same network segment
and enables you to configure its basic
TCP/IP settings remotely.

Display interface
(optional)

LCD display

Remote LCD interface through which you
can configure network, system, and battery
management data.
