Run

the

BIOS

Setup

utility

to

restore

the

configuration

settings

to

the

real-time

clock.

Replacing

the

SAS

expander

PCB

To

replace

the

SAS

expander

PCB,

do

the

following:

CAUTION:

Hot

Surfaces:

Disconnect

power

and

allow

to

cool

before

servicing.

1.

Observe

all

safety

and

ESD

precautions

in

the

Safety

and

Warranty

Guide.

2.

Turn

off

all

peripheral

devices

connected

to

the

storage

system.

Turn

off

the

storage

system.

3.

Disconnect

the

AC

power

cord(s).

4.

Remove

the

enclosure

cover.

For

instructions,

see

“Removing

the

enclosure

cover”

on

page

6.

5.

Open

the

PCB

cover

(see

1

in

the

following

figure).

Remove

the

SAS

cable

(see

2 ).

Pull

the

SAS

Expander

PCB

assembly

forward,

unplugging

it

from

the

backplane

(see

3 ).
