2. The operator then determines that:
• The load weight is 3000 pounds (1360 kg).
• The height of the structure the load is to be
placed upon is 20 feet (6,1 meters) from ground
level.
• The distance where the load will ultimately be
placed in front of the vehicle is 15 feet
(4,6 meters) from the front of the front tires.
3. After applying the height of the structure and the
distance of load placement away from the vehicle
to the capacity chart (Figure 17), the operator
knows that it will be safe to place the load if the
boom extend letter "C" has just started to show
and the boom angle indicator reading does not go
below approximately 35°. This condition is
however, a maximum limit for this weight, height
and distance away from the vehicle. The operator
should move the vehicle closer to the structure to
assure that the vehicle will not exceed the maxi-
mum limits for placing the load.
