4. Attach hitch, so that safety chain can be properly
attached and then attach drawbar to a suitable
tractor.
5. Install spindles in wheel arms and secure in outer
spindle holes with 1/2” x 3” bolts, lockwashers and
nuts. See Figure 2-13.
6. Install wheels and tires.
7. If seeder is equipped with rear box, attach 5K395
Caution Decal.

8. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor and raise
seeder into transport position.
9. Install the transport locks.
10. Remove 5/8” shipping bolt which locks rear roller
arms down. One bolt is used on each side of the
machine. See Figure 2-14.

NOTE
If the bracket for the SMV sign has been shipped loose,
attach it as shown using 3/8” x 1 1/4” bolts, washers, and
nuts provided. See Figure 2-15.
