DUPLICATING A CD

This iinil equips the Duplicate feature that enables to create a copy CD easily and quickly.

Duplication may not correctly made on a CD-R or C'D-RW disc that does not support high speed writing. In this case, copy a CD onto the
HDD first, then perform "Digital Move'" on a CD-R or CD-RW disc at 4x speed.

Set the original CD in the disc tray.

This unit siarts reading the information (type and capacity of a
CD) when a CD is loaded.

The following message appears during reading (the process
may take 10 to 20 seconds depending on the disc condition).

When reading the information has been completed, the display
changes its follows, and this unit becomes ready for opemtion.

Press >/nn to start copying from the CD onto the HDD.

The copying conditions are as follows:

• Copy Method:

"Digital Copy"

• Copy Level:

OdB

• Copy Speed:

"Best Effort”

• If copying is canceled by □ being pressed, even the data that

has been copied before cancellation does not remain on the
HDD.

• If a track is copy protected by the SCMS standard (P.82), that

track cannot be copied onto the HDD.

When copying from the CD onto the HDD has been
completed, the following message appears on the
display.

Press COPY three times.

The following message appears on the display, and this unit
enters the duplicate standby mode. Duplication has not been
started yet at this stage.
