The MFP is now ready to use with Kofax Front-Office Server. Use Kofax Front-Office Server
Administration Console to make sure the MFP is added to Kofax Front-Office Server, and to create
shortcuts and profiles to deploy on the MFP.
Removing the Kofax Front-Office Server Application
You can remove the Kofax Front-Office Server application when needed. Before removing the
application, make sure that any scanned documents have been received.
Note
During the remove process, you will be stopping the Kofax Front-Office Server application.
If you do so before a scan job is completed and received, the interruption will most likely cause
data loss.
X To remove the Kofax Front-Office Server application

Go to the Lexmark Web page by entering the URL for the MFP in your browser window.

On the Device Status page, click Configuration (on the left side of the page).

On the Configuration page, under Other Settings, select Embedded Solutions.

On the Installed Solutions page, under Installed Solutions, select the check box to the left
of Kofax Front-Office Server. Then, click Stop.
Note that the State column indicates Stopped.

Select the check box to the left of Kofax Front-Office Server. Then, click Uninstall.
The Kofax Front-Office Server application is removed from the list of installed solutions.
Performing Administrative Tasks
Once the Kofax Front-Office Server application for the MFP is installed and operational, there are
certain tasks that you may need to perform periodically.
Changing the IP Address or Other Configuration Settings
You can change the IP address or other configuration settings (such as the listener port) on the
MFP for Kofax Front-Office Server when needed. Before making the changes, make sure the touch
screen for the Kofax Front-Office Server application on the MFP is not currently being used, and
that any scanned documents have been received.
Note
During the change procedure, you will be stopping the Kofax Front-Office Server
application. If you do so before a scan job is completed and received, the interruption will most
likely cause data loss.
