1. When you receive your tent, inspect the box for
damage. Do not use a knife or sharp object to open the
box, as you may slice the tent.
2. Layout the contents of your shipment and make sure
that you received your tent and the following items: stuff
sack, replacement bladder with black fitting, stakes, Silnet,
Seamgrip, 2 nozzles, and repair kit. Also confirm that you
received any optional items you may have ordered
including: Nemoid™ foot pump, Integrated Pump, t-shirts
or accessories.
3. Hypno AR comes with two types of seam sealer. Seam
sealing adds strength and waterproofness to the tent and
is also useful for making repairs. Use the Silnet for the
EPIC and sil-nylon fabric shell of the tent. Use the
Seamgrip for the airbeams and tent floor. Allow to dry
overnight. Note that both seam sealers can stick to
themselves even after curing, so it is best to lightly dust
fully cured areas with talcum powder. Please visit

4. When packing your backpack, keep the denser objects
close to your body and near your shoulders. Don’t forget
to bring your NEMO pumps along!
5. Hypno AR is designed for lightweight travel, be it

7. With all that adrenaline, it’s hard not to start out running,
even with 300 miles to go!!
8. Choose your campsite carefully. Avoid areas with
uneven ground, under trees or near tall objects which may
attract lightning, near open flames or smoldering
campfires, or areas of fragile vegetation. Also consider the
direction of the sun and wind.
9. NEMO AST™ tents are easy to setup at night because
they are all one piece. Just be sure to keep track of your
stakes and other accessories.
10. Begin the setup of your tent by staking it out. This way
you have the option of inflating the tent from the inside.
11. Be sure the deflation cap is clean and screwed on
tightly before inflating the tent. Make a quick visual check
that the airlines and airbeams are laid out without any
major kinks or twists.
12. Connect the pump to the inflation valve on the Valve
Interface. If using the Nemoid™ foot pump, be sure the
red intake valve on the pump is open. If using the
Integrated Pump, be sure the valve on top of the pump is
closed.
13. When properly connected, the CPC quick-disconnect fittings
will make an audible click.
14. Step on the Nemoid™ foot pump to inflate the tent. Allow a
short time between steps for the pump to refill with air. Do not
use the foot pump on top of sharp objects. Inflating Burrito takes
as little as 15 seconds with the Nemoid™ pump.
15. NEMO AirSupported™ tents are designed to be very strong
between 5 and 7 psi. You have achieved adequate pressure
when it becomes difficult to pinch the airbeam together with
your fingers. Do not over-inflate! The airbeams are designed to
tolerate pressures up to 25 psi in case an increase in air
temperature causes the air inside the airbeam to expand. To be
safe, if you setup your tent in cold weather and the temperature
increases significantly, release some air to keep the pressure
between 5 and 7 psi. Failure to do this in the case of extreme
temperature changes can cause the airbeams to explode!
16. To pack the Nemoid™ pump, first close the red intake valve
and then squeeze the pump. This will squeeze the air out of the
pump, making it very compact for carrying. Simply toss the
pump into the mesh pocket of the stuff sack with the tent, or into
your backpack or pannier. Do not leave the foot pump
compressed for more than a few days or it may not return to its
original shape.
17. Hypno AR is designed to fit 2 people very comfortably or up
to 4 people during an adventure race. Of course it’s a little tight
for 4, but you won’t care if you haven’t slept for two days!
18. The side vents on Hypno AR can be rolled up or closed
from inside the tent through the vent access zipper. If you want
to keep the vent closed during high winds, clip both the vent
and the tent side wall to the guyout.
19. With the side vents rolled up and the Storm Door open or
just the vent deployed, Hypno AR has good air circulation and
affords a nice view of the sky.
20. To take the tent down, begin by unscrewing the deflation
valve. Unscrew the cap slowly to allow the pressure to decrease
before the cap is released.
21. Roll the tent along the airbeams to squeeze out all the air.
22. Pack the tent into Hypno AR’s Racing Stuff Sack, roll the
dry closure top and clip the sides to make it watertight.
23. The racing stuff sack is watertight so your tent stays dry and
light as you endure rough weather and varying terrain.
24. Be alert for signs of changing weather. Stop in time to find a
campsite away from possible flooding and other risks.
25. Begin the setup of your tent by staking it out. This way you
have the option of inflating the tent from the inside. This is a
unique advantage of NEMO AirSupported™ tents! If it’s raining,
remember to close all zippers, including the Pump Pocket!
26. Hypno AR features a NEMO’s own Storm Door front entry.
The bottom of the tent door has a horizontal zipper with an
