Disc Menu Command Matrix
Button DVD-V & DVD-A DVD-R/RW Video CD & SVCD MP3
MENU &
TOP
MENU When a DVD-V is loaded, pressing the MENU button opens
and closes the disc menu, provided the loaded disc includes
a menu. In some cases, pressing the TOP MENU button also
opens and closes the menu. When a DVD-A is loaded, press-
ing the TOP MENU button opens and closes the disc top
menu, provided the loaded disc includes a top menu. The
TOP MENU button must be pressed to open and close
DVD-A top menus. Pressing the MENU button performs no
function. Pressing the MENU button opens
and closes the disc menu,
provided the loaded disc includes a
menu. Pressing the TOP MENU
button performs no function. Perform no function. Pressing the MENU button
opens and closes the MP3
Navigator, provided the
loaded disc includes an MP3
Navigator. Pressing the TOP
MENU button performs no
function.
Number
Buttons Select the corresponding menu item. When menu items are
numbered, pressing a number button selects the menu
item with the corresponding number. When menu items
are not numbered, pressing a number button selects the
menu item in the corresponding position. For instance,
pressing the number 1 button selects the first menu item.

instructions to select menu items 10 and above. Performs no function. Same as DVD-V & DVD-A.
In some cases, pressing a
number button activates
playback of corresponding
track when the PBC menu
is open. Perform no function.
CLEAR Performs no function. Performs no function. Performs no function. Deletes the selected track
from the MP3 program list.
PRO-
GRAM Performs no function. Performs no function. Performs no function. Activates playback of the
selected track or the first
track in the selected folder.
ENTER Selects the highlighted disc menu item. Same as DVD-V & DVD-A Performs no function. Activates playback of the
selected track or the first
track in the selected folder.
RETURN For DVD-V: Closes the current disc menu screen and opens
the previous menu screen. When the first menu screen is
open, pressing the RETURN button performs no function.
For DVD-A: Performs no function.
Performs no function. Opens and closes the PBC
menu, provided the
loaded disc includes a PBC
menu. Closes the MP3 Menu.
