2. Close the disc drawer. Test tones cannot be activated when the
disc drawer is open.
3. Set the Analog Jacks prompt (3-5) or the Audio Out parameter
(3-16) to 5.1 Channel. Test tones cannot be activated when
these parameters are set to 5.1 Channel or None.
4. Set the Screen Saver parameter (3-28) to Off. Test Tones
automatically mute when the Lexicon screen saver appears on
the on-screen display.
Video Adjust bars exceed the on-screen display margins.
1. In some cases, the loaded disc might cause the Video Adjust
bar to exceed on-screen display margins. If this occurs, close
the Video Adjust bar and remove the loaded disc from the disc
drawer. Then, open the Video Adjust bar again.
Previewed Video Adjust bank settings do not disappear.
1. Select a new Video Adjust bank (3-34) to cancel the previewed
settings. The selected bank settings will be automatically
applied to the picture on the associated display device screen.
2. Press the remote control VIDEO ADJ. button (2-18) to close the
Video Adjust bar or screen.
Subtitles do not appear on the on-screen display.
1. Make sure a disc recorded with subtitles is loaded. Subtitles are
not available for discs that are not recorded with subtitles.
The Parental Lock Level (3-45) and Country Code (3-47)
controls are not available.
1. Make sure the Parental Lock Password control (3-42) has been
used to assign a password. The Level and Country Code
controls are not available unless a password has been assigned.
2. When the Level control is used to assign a security level, the
Country Code control is not available.
The password has been lost or forgotten.
1. Restore factory-default settings (5-16). Unfortunately, restoring
factory-default settings also resets all Setup and Advanced
Setup menu parameters to their factory-default settings and
deletes all Setup menu shortcuts, bookmarks, preferred disc
settings, and program lists.
Setup menu shortcuts (3-50) cannot be created.
1. Make sure a Setup menu shortcut can be created for the
selected parameter. Shortcuts cannot be created for the
following parameters: Linear PCM Out, SACD Playback, TV
Screen, Audio Language, Subtitle Language, Auto Language,
DVD Language, Subtitle Display, Subtitle Off, Setup Navigator,
Parental Lock, Bonus Group, and Group Playback.
2. Make sure the Function Memory tab (3-50) is not full. Setup
menu shortcuts can be created for up to five Setup menu
parameters, excluding those listed in the previous bullet. If five
shortcuts have been created, one shortcut must be deleted
before another can be created.
