BIOS configuration

You need to adjust the settings in the BIOS setup of the remote server for correct

configuration and connection to the cental server.

Update the remote server BIOS file following the instructions in the

motherboard/system user guide. Visit the ASUS website (www.asus.com) to

download the latest BIOS file for the motherboard.

4. Press <Esc>, then select IPMI Configuration sub-menu from the Server

menu.

5. Use this sub-menu to adjust the remote server LAN settings or view the

System Event Log (SEL).

6. When finished, press <F10> to save your changes and exit the BIOS setup.

AMI BIOS setup

Remote Access setup

To adjust the Remote Access settings:
1. Restart the remote server, then press <Del> during POST to access the

BIOS setup.

2. Go to the Server menu, select the Remote Access Configuration sub-menu,

then press <Enter>.

3. Enable Remote Access, then set the following sub-menu items:

• Serial Port Number to [COM2]
• Baudrate to [57600]
• Terminal Type to [VT-UTF8]
• Media Type to [Serial]
