10.4 DMX Cabling

The DMX cable should meet EIA485 requirements. The characteristics
for this cable include low capacitance, twisted pair, shielded, and

designed for high speed data.

Twisted pair Ethernet cabling referred to as Category 5 cable may be
a cabling option upon successful evaluation in the end use application.

In the end use application, proper separation between control wiring
from the DMX interface and AC mains must be observed in

accordance with the applicable safety standards and/or NEC/CEC

requirements.

The maximum permissible cable length between DMX Controller
(transmitter) and last TRINITY is 1000 feet (300 meters). A DMX split-
ter (preferably isolated) may be required to extend the cable length.
