1.

Select File > Import RSM Database.

The Import RSM Database window opens.

2.

Enter the drive letter, full path and file name of the RSM database copy to import, for example
C:\colorado\RSMdb_on_server2_Mar_15_2007.xml

or

C:\colorado\CADATA_20050211135232.export.xml

3.

Click OK.

An implicit job is started. The results and number of processed resources appear in the Monitor
job window.

4.

After importing, perform required follow-up procedures to ensure that all required resources
are available.

Importing a remote RSM database

This feature allows administrators to import an RSM database from another management server.

Considerations

You can use the GUI or the CLUI. See CLUI Set Server command.

After importing, HP recommends that administrators examine the active database for duplicate
jobs and managed sets and make corrections, as necessary.

Security

IMPORTANT:

The security credentials for enabled hosts are not included in an exported

database.

Procedure

This procedure uses the GUI.

1.

Select File > Import RSM Database from Remote RSM.

The Import RSM Database window opens.

2.

Enter the network name or IP address of the remote management server.

3.

Enter the user name and password to access the remote instance of the replication manager.

4.

Click OK.

An implicit job is started. The results and number of processed resources appear in the Monitor
job window.
