3.2.1 CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
The Nyx-14 PRO controls and indicators are defined in Table 3-1.
The Nyx-14 PRO controls are shown in Figure 3-14.
CAUTION:
DO NOT over-adjust the controls by forcing them past their stopping points.

CONTROL/INDICATOR
FUNCTION
Function switch
(Figure 3-14, A)
OFF position — the unit is off.
ON position — the unit is on (IIT powered).
Turn the unit on by turning the switch from OFF to ON.
IR position — the unit is on, and the IR illuminator is activated.
Activate the IR illuminator by turning the switch from ON to IR.
Pivotal Plate
(Figure 3-14, B)
The photoreceiver can be closed or opened by moving the pivotal
plate.
Pivotal Focusing Lens
(Figure 3-14, C)
Allows the user to choose between the following:
1. The IR illuminator spot beam -- the pivotal focusing lens is placed
in the left of the window of the IR illuminator.
2. The IR illuminator flood beam -- the focusing lens is placed on the
window of the IR illuminator.
IR Laser Button
(Figure 3-14, D)
Activate the IR laser by pushing the button. The laser is activated
while the button is on.
Eyepiece Ring
(Figure 3-14, E)
Adjusts the unit diopter.
Focusing Ring
(Figure 3-14, F)
Focuses the lens. Adjusts for the sharpest view of the scene.
