Probe Disassembly
It may be necessary to remove the outer lens barrel from the fiber optic bundle for mounting. Follow
these instructions. (Instructions apply only to the probe type shown.)

Note the knurled collar. To remove
the lens barrel, unscrew the knurled collar.

As the knurled collar is loosened, be sure
to support the lens barrel. Do not let it
drop.
3.
When the knurled collar is disengaged
from the lens barrel, slide the lens barrel
off over the fiber optic bundle end.
The knurled collar is captured, and will not
fall off. Do not use the set screws – the
knurled collar sets the gap, and the set
screws will interfere with that setting.
4.
To re-assemble, gently insert the fiber optic
bundle end into the lens barrel.
Fully tighten the knurled collar onto the
lens barrel. Hand tighten; do not use tools.
Internal spacing between the lens and the
fiber optic bundle end is automatically set
using this method.
