MAINTENANCE

WARNING

After ANY adjustments, repair or service
and BEFORE use, make sure that all
attaching hardware is tightened securely
- otherwise, injury or damage may occur.

C A U T I O N

DO NOT over-tighten hardware attach-
ing to the frame. This could cause dam-
age to the frame.

Initial Maintenance Procedures
(FIGURE 1)

1. Before using the powered scooter, make sure all

nuts and bolts are tight. Check any parts for
damage or wear and replace. Check all parts for
proper adjustment.

2. Ensure that batteries are properly maintained and

charged as required (PROCEDURE 4 of
Owner’s Manual, part number 1090132).

3. Inspect brake for proper operation (PROCEDURE 3

of Owner’s Manual, part number 1090132).

C A U T I O N

Ensure that the cover is removed from
the grease nipple BEFORE operation of
the PANTHER MX-4 scooter. Otherwise,
damage to the scooter may occur.

4. For the PANTHER MX-4 ONLY, remove the

cover from the grease nipple located on TOP of
the transaxle assembly (FIGURE 1).

Periodic Maintenance Procedures

1. The wheels and tires should be checked periodi-

cally for cracks and wear, and should be replaced
by a qualified technician.

2. Regularly check for loose nuts and/or bolts in the

front and rear wheels. If loose, have them adjusted
by a qualified technician (PROCEDURE 9 of
Owner’s Manual, part number 1090132).

3. Clean dirt, dust and grease from exposed com-

ponents.
