To run the Wellness test:

1.

From the Home screen, press Previous or Next until the screen displays Support. Press Enter

to select.

2.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays Run Wellness test. Press Enter to select.

3.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays Select Number of Loops. Use Previous

or Next to select 1, 10, 100 or Infinite. Press Enter.

4.

While the test is running, the screen will display progress as shown: Running test. The second

line on the display will show the number of loops completed.

5.

When the test is complete, the screen will display either Test Passed, or Test Failed On
Loop

. If the test failed, press Enter to display the error and message describing the cause.

NOTE:

To stop the Wellness test, press the Cancel button.

Forcing the drive to eject a cartridge

This option attempts to force the tape drive to eject the cartridge and place it into an open slot in the

autoloader. Before issuing this command, you should attempt to eject the cartridge by using the backup

software and, if that fails, the move command.

NOTE:

This option should only be used as a last resort when all normal methods of unloading a cartridge

have failed.

To force the cartridge to eject:

1.

From the Home screen, press Previous or Next until the screen displays Support. Press Enter

to select.

2.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays Force Drive to Eject Cartridge.

Press Enter to select.

3.

The screen displays Drive. The second line on the display will state Enter to Eject. Press
Enter

to eject the cartridge.

4.

If the cartridge is successfully ejected from the drive, the screen will display the slot location to

which the cartridge was moved.

NOTE:

If the drive has difficulty ejecting the cartridge, you should suspect bad or damaged media.

Viewing the autoloader error log

To view the autoloader error log:

1.

From the Home screen, press Previous or Next until the screen displays Support. Press Enter

to select.

2.

Press Previous or Next until the screen displays Autoloader Error Log. Press Enter to

select.

3.

The screen displays the most recent error message in the format:
