Adjusting the Fiber C/Port

The Fiber C/Port is nearly identical to a standard C/Port, with three important

differences:

The input jack is designed for a dual fiber, 62.5-micron MT-RJ connector.

There are no manual tuning dials on the unit. The Fiber C/Port contains automatic

gain control (AGC) circuitry, which alleviates the need for the manual sharpness

(equalization) or RGB (delay line) tuning.

The Fiber C/Port uses a different power supply module than the one used for the

standard C/Port and the Multi-Video Expander (MVX).

Adjusting the Monitor

Use the monitor’s auto-adjust and fine-tuning capabilities (focus, clock, etc.) to get the

optimal picture quality.

NOTE: The Fiber Optic Extension System only works with “straight-through” fiber

optic cable. Some cable installations employ “inverted” cable runs. These

need to be converted to straight-through cable runs by swapping the positions

of the fiber pair at a connector or patch panel.
