Continuous Access XP for the XP1024/XP128
The Continuous Access XP main pane contains the following items:
•
CU Number/Port Number tree: Subsystem folder displays CUs, ports, and host groups. Only the
CU/Port containing LUs is shown in the CU Number/Port Number tree. A CU number or port number
can be selected in the CU Number/Port Number tree to specify information displayed in the Volume
list. You cannot select more than one CU number or port number. When a CU includes a volume pair
of error suspended status, an error icon (
) is shown on the CU number/port number.

Volume list: Information for each volume (LU) of the connected disk array (see ”
page 44). Information displayed in this list is sorted in Port number order by default. Information about
LUs defined for several paths is displayed in several rows (as many as the path defined).
•
Display Filter button: Opens the Display Filter pane (see ”
” on page 45), which you
use to select volumes displayed on the Volume list. Select volumes by specifying pair status, pair type,
and group number.
•
Snapshot button: Writes the user-selected Continuous Access XP pair status information to a text file.
•
Previous and Next buttons: In the Volume list, displays eight to twelve rows of LU information at one
time. The 256 rows can be displayed using the scroll bar. The Previous/Next buttons switches the
Volume list to the previous or next 256 rows.
Volume list
This list displays information about each volume (LU) of the connected disk array. Information displayed in
this list is sorted in Port number order by default. Each item can be sorted in ascending or descending
order. To sort items, click the column heading (such as Status or Port). Not all items in the Volume list can
be displayed at one time. To see all items in the list, use the scroll bar below the Volume list.
NOTE:
To change the number of items that can be displayed without scrolling, change the font size.

Volume icon: Status of volumes.
shows the icons.
•
Port, Group, and LUN: Port number, LU Host Group number, and LU number (LUN).
NOTE:
If # is added to the end of an LDEV number, such as 00:3C#, the LDEV is an external
volume. For details about external volumes, see the HP StorageWorks External Storage XP user
guide.
