If four RCUs (maximum number of RCUs you can register) are already registered, you cannot
select Add RCU.

Add RCU pane
•
RCU S/N: Serial number of RCU being registered. S/N is five digits.
•
Controller ID: Controller ID of RCU being registered.
•
Logical Adr. (RCU CU#): CU number of RCU being registered. CU number is 0-1F.
•
Path Gr.ID: Used to enter the path group ID for using CU Free. To enter the path group ID, clear the
Default check box, and input the value in hexadecimal within the range of 1 to FF. To use the default
ID, select the Default check box.
•
SSID: SSIDs of RCU being registered. The XP1024/XP128 uses one SSID for each set of 256 volumes
and four SSIDs per CU image. The SSID is 4-FFFE in hexadecimal.

MCU-RCU Path: Includes:
• MCU Port: MCU port number. Only Initiators are listed in the drop-down list. Select the MCU port
from the list.
• RCU Port: RCU port number. Select the RCU Target port.
• Link Address: Link address from 0 - FD in hexadecimal numbers (serial only). For dynamic link of
remote copy connections, enter destination port address on the ESCD. For static connections,
enter 0.
NOTE:
You can select the port number from the drop-down list, or enter it directly. When you
enter the port number directly, you can specify it with two characters (for example, enter 1A for
CL1-A). You can also enter the port number in both lowercase and uppercase characters.

Option button: Opens the RCU Option pane.
