Setting up Local and Remote Viewing

Viewing your system through a Local Area Network

To connect to a network:

1. Power off your system by disconnecting the power cable from the rear panel.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable (included) to the LAN port on the rear panel of the system.

Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an empty LAN port (usually numbered 1~4) on
your router.

3. Reconnect the power cable to power the system back on.
4. Locate your system’s IP address and port number.

Finding your IP address and port number

NOTE:

Make sure you have connected the DVR to your local or wide area network via the LAN port on

the rear panel of the system.

To find your IP and MAC addresses:

1. Press the

button twice on the remote control, or front control panel (EDGE

+

only)

OR

2. From the Main Menu, click

, and then click Information. Your IP address, MAC address,

and Port number are under LAN.

3. To exit, right-click or click
