Example

.The following example configures the source IP address that the IGMP Snooping querier uses.

ip igmp snooping querier version

The ip igmp snooping querier version Interface Configuration mode command configures the IGMP version of
an IGMP querier on a specific VLAN. Use the no form of this command to return to default.

Syntax

ip igmp snooping querier version {2 | 3}

no ip igmp snooping querier version

Parameters

2 — Specifies that the IGMP version is IGMPv2.

3 — Specifies that the IGMP version is IGMPv3.

User Guidelines

If the IGMP querier is configured to IGMPv3, the querier tries to work in IGMPv3. In case the hosts do not support
IGMPv3, the querier version is downgraded.

If the IGMP querier is configured to IGMPv2, the querier tries to work in IGMPv2. It can be downgraded
automatically to IGMPv1, but never upgraded automatically to IGMPv3.

Example

.The following example configures the IGMP version of an IGMP querier on a specific VLAN.

ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out

The ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode command configures the
mrouter-time-out. The ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode command is
used for setting the aging-out time after Multicast device ports are automatically learned. Use the no form of this
command to return to the default configuration.

Syntax

ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out time-out

console(config)# interface vlan 2

console(config-if)# ip igmp snooping querier address 192.168.1.220

console(config)# interface vlan 2

console(config-if)# ip igmp snooping querier version 2
