Using Your FotoShow
™
Image Center to Give PowerPoint
®
Presentations
You can use your FotoShow
™
Digital Image Center as a replacement for expensive PC
screen or overhead projectors. Your FotoShow
™
Image Center can be used to give
business presentations anywhere there is a TV.
1.Create your Microsoft
®
PowerPoint
®
presentation. If you have problems creating
your PowerPoint presentation, consult the user’s manual that came with the
PowerPoint software.
NOTE:
Iomega has provided several PowerPoint
®
templates that have been
optimized for use with the FotoShow
™
Image Center. To use the Iomega provided
templates, insert your Zip
®
disk into your computer’s Zip drive (you may need to
follow the instructions on the purple side of the FotoShow QuickStart Guide to
connect your FotoShow Image Center to your computer for use as a standard USB
Zip drive), copy the contents of the TEMPLATES folder to your hard drive. Follow
the instructions in your PowerPoint
®
User’s Manual to create presentations based
on these templates.
NOTE:
When creating a Microsoft
®
PowerPoint
®
presentation for use with your
FotoShow
™
Image Center, use bold sans serif fonts (such as Arial Bold and Verdana
Bold) in sizes over 20 points.
2.After you have saved your presentation, select Save As… from the File menu.
3.In the Save As… dialog box, find or create the folder where you want to save your
presentation. You may want to save your presentation directly to your FotoShow
™
Zip
®
disk.
4.In the File name: field, type your presentations name. This will actually be the name
of the folder that contains your presentation. The actual file names will be
something like “slide1.jpg,” etc.
5.In the Save as type: field, select JPEG File Interchange Format.
6.Exit the Microsoft
®
PowerPoint
®
software.
7.If you saved your presentation somewhere other than on the Zip
®
disk that you are
using with your FotoShow
™
Image Center, move the folder that contains your
presentation to the Zip
®
disk.
8.Press the POWER button on the FotoShow
™
remote control if the FotoShow Image
Center is not already on.
9.Insert your FotoShow
™
Zip
®
disk into the FotoShow
™
Digital Image Center.
NOTE:
It may take several minutes to prepare your presentation to be viewed on
the FotoShow
™
Image Center.
