Your FotoShow

Image Center is compatible with 3.3v SmartMedia

memory

cards only. Using a 5v SmartMedia card with your FotoShow Image Center may cause
irreparable damage to either the SmartMedia card or the FotoShow Image Center.

Ejecting Zip

®

Disks

To eject a Zip

®

disk when your drive has power, press the Eject/Activity button on the

front right side of your FotoShow

Image Center.

If your FotoShow

Image Center is attached to a computer, you may not always be able

to eject the disk. Please check the User’s Manual included on the Zip

®

disk that came

with your FotoShow Image Center for more information on ejecting Zip disks when using
the FotoShow Image Center as a USB Zip drive.

CAUTION!

Make sure that the activity and status lights are not blinking green before

removing your Zip

®

disk. Removing a Zip disk while it is being accessed may cause

irreparable data loss!

CAUTION!

To avoid damage to your FotoShow

disk, always remove the disk when it is not in use or before disconnecting or moving
your FotoShow

Ejecting Zip

®

Disks Without Power

The FotoShow

Image Center must be powered on for normal disk insertion and removal.

If you need to eject a disk during a power failure, disconnect the power supply from the
FotoShow Image Center and push a pen into the emergency disk eject hole on the back
of the drive.

CAUTION!

Never use the emergency eject procedure while the power supply is connected

to the FotoShow

Image Center. Never force a disk into or out of the Zip

®

drive as this

could damage the drive.

Ejecting CompactFlash

Cards and IBM

®

Microdrives

Make sure that the CompactFlash

/Microdrive

reader is not busy before ejecting. If you

are transferring files while your FotoShow

Image Center is connected to a TV, you should

see a dialog box on the TV screen that will show you when the transfer is complete.
When the copy completes, you can safely remove your CompactFlash card or Microdrive.
If you are using your FotoShow Image Center for portable downloads, make sure that the
activity light is off and status light is not blinking green before removing your digital film.
To remove the CompactFlash card or Microdrive, pull the card out of the card reader.

CAUTION!

To avoid damage to your CompactFlash

card or Microdrive™, always remove the

card when it is not in use or before disconnecting or moving your FotoShow

Image Center.
