Working with the FotoShow

Software

• Your television may crop your digital images when the FotoShow

Image Center

displays them in full screen mode. Iomega recommends that you center the content
matter of your photos well away from the edges of your photos if you do not want
them to be cropped in full screen mode. See “Why are My Pictures Cropped When I
View Them Full Screen”

on page 57, for more information.

• Remember to plan your albums in advance. If you will be creating a picture album

that you will be continually updating, you will want to reserve space on your Zip

®

disk. Dedicating a Zip disk may keep you from running out of room later. Consult the
table for the estimated number of images you can save for your camera resolution
and Zip disk size.

over 20 points. Iomega has provided several templates for use with PowerPoint that
have been optimized for use with your FotoShow Image Center. See page 42 for more
information on using your FotoShow Image Center to give PowerPoint presentations.

• To ensure that your JPEGs are compatible with your FotoShow

Image Center, follow

these guidelines:

1.Make sure that when converting your files you change them from CMYK images

(optimized for print) to RGB images (optimized for computer monitors).

2.The JPEG format allows you to compress your images to save space.

Remember the

higher the percentage of compression you use, the lower the image quality.

3.Never save your images as progressive JPEGs, they are incompatible with your

FotoShow™ Digital Image Center.

NOTE:

JPEG is the most common file format used by digital cameras. The FotoShow

Image Center is compatible with most JPEG formats; however, some less common JPEG
