Low Cut Filter
A n
The recorder has a Low Cut Filter function to
minimize low-frequency sounds and record voices
more clearly. This function can reduce noise from
air conditioners, projectors and other similar
noises.
[Off]:
Disables this function.
[100Hz]:
This setting will reduce the noise generated
from air conditioners or projectors. It is effective
for indoor recording.
[300Hz]:
Use this setting when sufficient effects cannot
be obtained with the [100Hz] setting.
Note
• When the [Input Jack] setting is set to [Line],
the Low Cut Filter function is disabled (
☞ P.70).
Notes
• The recording level will be automatically
adjusted when the recording level is set to
[Auto]. Set the recording level to [Manual] to
use the recording level adjustment feature.
• When the unit is set to [Auto], the limiter
function will be disabled. When a loud sound
is produced the level meter will swing all the
way over to the right while recording and the
PEAK/LED indicator light will turn on. When
this happens the sound will be recorded in a
distorted manner since the recording level is too
high. If sound distortions do not disappear even
after the recording level has been adjusted,
change the setting for microphone sensitivity
(
☞ P.67) and adjust the recording level again.
• If too big sound is input, the noise may occur even
if [Rec Level] is set to [Auto] or [Limiter ON].
• The level can be adjusted from [00] to [30]. The
higher the number, the higher the level and the
larger the indicator position on the level meter.
