10.2 Levels of integration
It is possible to integrate the Free MUX/DVR protocol at two different levels:
1. Level One: the user keys are displayed only in the main menu of the keyboard (in this case it is possible to
associate a maximum of 30 functions and the video switching)
2. Level Two: the user keys are displayed in the main menu and in the maps (in this case it is possible to
associate a maximum of 128 functions and the video switching)
10.2.1 Level one: customizing the main menu
1. Max 30 keys, can be associated with 30 functions.
In this case the graphics keys (a maximum of 30) will be displayed in part of the main menu which is
identified as the “Device area”.
Example of MUX control
1. Device area
To define the graphics appearance of the Device area and determine the arrangement of the Free MUX/DVR
buttons go to page No. 30 in the maps. Then create a graphics project using the “Keyboard Maps” programme
supplied with the keyboard.
When the Video Free MUX/DVR protocol is selected, the keyboard will load the information contained in
page No. 30 of the maps (limiting them to the Device area) and will display them in the main menu.
The user has complete freedom in defining/arranging the graphics, buttons and related controls.
