To delete items from the status bar
Step 1
Select customize from the tools menu.
Step 2
Select the status bar tab as shown.
Step 3
Highlight the desired item as shown.
NOTE
Items currently in the status bar have an 'X' in the box next
to them. An empty box indicates the item is currently not
on the status bar.
