Server Password: Enter the GAB server password, if required.
Display Global Addresses:
•
Checked: The global addresses appear in the
ViewStation address book.
•
Not Checked: Only addresses entered manually are
displayed in the ViewStation address book.
Register this System When Powered On:
•
Checked: When the ViewStation is powered on, the
ViewStation registers the name and new IP address (if
DHCP is used) in the GAB.
•
Not Checked: The ViewStation has access to the GAB,
but does not register the name and new IP address (if
DHCP is used) in the GAB.
Preferences
The Global Address Book Preferences screen (System Info >
Admin Setup > LAN/H.323 > Global Address > Preferences) is
used to set the global address book display and dialing preferences.
ViewStation with Quad BRI, V.35, Avaya DCP, and MP
Show Addresses in Address Book:
•
ISDN Video Calls (H.320)
•
Checked: Displays global ISDN video numbers in
the Global Address Book.
•
Not Checked: Only local ISDN numbers appear in
the Global Address Book.
•
LAN/Internet Calls (H.323)
•
Checked: Displays global IP addresses in the
Global Address Book.
•
Not Checked: Only IP addresses which have ben
entered manually appear in the Global Address
Book.
Maximum Line Speed for Global Addresses: Set the line
speeds for each type of call. The speeds selected affect only
Global Address Book entries in the ViewStation address book.
