With the park brake ON and
the engine running, check
wire 38 (ORG) for battery
voltage to instrument
cluster connector.
Hourmeter indicator
does not register
operating hours.
Not
OK
Check wire 2W (BLK) for
ground. Refer to Section
9.7.6, “Electrical Schematic
(Console/Stabilizer and
Engine Harnesses).”
Repair ground wire.
Not OK
Check alternator terminal “D+”
for battery voltage.
If
OK

Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. Battery for proper charge.
3. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
4. Check instrument cluster
bulbs for proper function.
Not OK
Replace instrument cluster.
Replace alternator.
