Angles In order to avoid reflections on the target object, it is recommended,
where possible, to angle the sensor by a few degrees compared to
the vertical axis of the target object.
Fixing the sensor The SVS1 must be fixed firmly to a stable support, which is not
subject to vibrations and protected from contact with any liquids. The
catalogue stocks a range of brackets which are specifically designed
to support the sensor. For instance, the diagram below shows a
sensor fitted with an assembly kit (95A901380).
The VSC configurator is an excellent instrument used to find the best position for the sensor. It allows
the installer to view the field range of the SVS1 in real time, and adjust its position accordingly. For this
reason, it is highly recommended in difficult installation situations, to connect the sensor and the
configurator to the power supply (see paragraph 4.5) and then, according to what is viewed on the
monitor, choose the desired position.
