Intfc1 GBEI Negotiation Slave
Master

If Slave is selected, 1000 Mbps Full Duplex is supported and the CDM-700 GBEI is set as the
timing slave.
If Master is selected, 1000 Mbps Full Duplex is supported and the CDM-700 GBEI is set as the
timing master.
Speed Options
If Speed is selected, Select 100 or 1000 using the ◄ ► arrow keys. Press
ENTER.

100 1000 (E)
If 100 is selected, 100 Mbps is supported in the current Duplex setting (Full or Half).
If 1000 is selected, 1000 Mbps is supported in the current Duplex setting (Full or Half).
Note: Manual 1000 Mbps operation is not intended for normal use.
Duplex Options
If Dplx is selected, Select Half or Full using the ◄ ► arrow keys. Press
ENTER.

Half Full (E)
If Half is selected, Half Duplex is configured for 100 Mbps only.
If Full is selected, Full Duplex is configured for 100 Mbps only.
Note: If the Manual settings are not compatible with the counterpart unit, the following screen
indicates the negotiation is not resolved:

NOT RES
Automatic Negotiation
If Negotiation Æ Auto is selected, the unit will automatically negotiate appropriate settings with
the counterpart unit. All Manual selections previously made will not be overwritten.
Note: Automatic Negotiation is the recommended setting.
