StereoSurround Settings

To send or receive stereo audio, make sure your Polycom QDX 6000 system

equipment is set up as described in

Connecting Devices to the Polycom QDX

6000 Microphone Input

on page

4-1

and

. Then configure the system to use Polycom StereoSurround, test the system

configuration, and place a test call.

Setting

Description

Line In Level

Sets the volume level for VCR or DVD input.

Line Out Level

Sets the volume level for VCR or DVD output.

Auxiliary Audio
Input Association

Sets whether to associate current video source. If it is set
to associate current video source, you can hear the
VCR/DVD player audio through Line Output audio.

If you want to play the VCR/DVD player audio through Line
Output audio, do one of the following,

If current video source is the main camera, set this
setting to Main Camera.

If current video source is AUX / DOC / VCR / VGA, set
to corresponding video source.

VCR/DVD Audio
Out Always On

Allows you to record a call using one VCR or DVD, while
playing content into the call from a second VCR or DVD.

Do not select this setting if you have only one VCR or DVD
player connected. If this setting is disabled, the VCR audio
output is disabled when VCR is the selected camera
source.

Line In Level
(dB meter)

Lets you see the peak input signal level present at VCR or
DVD audio input.

Line Out Level
(dB meter)

Lets you see the peak output signal level present at VCR
or DVD audio output.

Volume

Sets the volume level for audio from the far site.
