Setting the Menu Security

When setting the menu security, access to the Administration mode can be restricted by setting a password.

Press the Menu,

Button to select the [
Administration
] menu, and then press the OK Button.

to select [
On
], and then press the OK Button.
Specify the first number using

, and then press the OK Button to proceed to the next number. Specify
the remaining three numbers in the same way.
Note
• After a password has been set, the password input screen appears when the [
Administration
] menu
is selected. Enter the specified 4-digit password using

, and then press the OK Button.
• To cancel the password settings, select the [
Administration
] menu and enter the password. Then,
select [
Menu Security
] > [
Off
].
• If you do not remember the password, use [
Device settings
] in the
Printer Setting Tool
to return all
settings to their factory defaults, or specify the password again and apply it. For more information, see
