Outputs Menu

The Eng Setups – Outputs menu is used to assign the Zodiak system Aux
Buses to the physical output destinations on the rear of the Video Processor
frame. The menu is accessed by touching

).

The Program and Preview outputs of the switcher are dedicated to specific
output BNC connectors on the rear of the Video Processor frame. These
output destinations cannot be changed. The Aux Buses can be assigned in
any configuration to any of the physical Aux Bus output BNCs as desired.

There are 9 Aux Buses available on the 2.5-M/E system and 13 on the
3-M/E system, so the layout of the Outputs menu differs between the two
systems in the number of physical outputs shown. Depending on the type
of equipment the Aux Bus is feeding, some Aux Bus attributes are config-
urable.

An Aux Pair (video/key, video/video) may also be defined for an effects
send configuration to an external DVE device. Pairing is defined for an Aux
Bus video signal and the associated key signal assigned to it in the Sources
menu. The paired signals are then assigned to individual physical Aux Bus
output pairs on the rear of the frame. The Aux Pair can also be named and
configured for shaping or unshaping in this menu.

Aux Bus configuration is explained in more detail in Section 3 – Configura-
tion
in the Zodiak Installation and Service Manual.
