Appendix — Still Store Loader
Installing Still Store Loader on a PC or a Zodiak System
The Still Store Loader software application can be installed on the Zodiak
system, for use on the Menu panel, or on a PC. Typically Still Store Loader
is installed on a computer located in the graphics department, to allow
instant downloads of graphics to the Zodiak Stillstore system.
PC Requirements
The PC can be configured with either a Win95, Win98, Win2000, or WinNT
4.0 operating system. 32 MB of RAM is recommended for Win95 and Win
98, and 64 Mb is recommended for Win2000 and Win NT 4.0.
PC IP Address
The PC must be configured for networking using TCP/IP protocol with its
own unique IP Address, and must be connected to an Ethernet network
that can access the Zodiak system, which may require a Gateway server.
Contact your network administrator if you have questions regarding net-
working the PC.
PC Monitor Set Up
It is recommended that you set up your PC monitor to its highest quality
to improve image viewing on the PC. Choose 32-bit True Color or 24-bit
(16,777,216) color, if available.
Installation Procedure
The Still Store Loader application is included on the Zodiak Software CD.
1. Insert the Zodiak Software CD into the drive of the system on which it
will be installed.
2. When the initial Zodiak Software Update Tool screen appears, select
Install Still Store Loader on Zodiak Menu or Desktop Computer ( Figure 300 ).
