If you are reading Code 39 barcodes, Codablock A should remain disabled. If you
are enabling Codablock A (see

on page 179), you should disable Code

39.

Code 39 Start/Stop Characters

Start/Stop characters identify the leading and trailing ends of the barcode. You
may either transmit, or not transmit Start/Stop characters.

indicates that the scanner reads and transmits barcode data

with or without a check character.
